Charlie Fraser-Fleming asks if a 20mph limit is needed in Sandy Lane

Liberal Democrat campaigner Charlie Fraser-Fleming has asked Hampshire County Council to make improvements to roads in North Farnborough.

Over many years concern has been expressed about the dangers for drivers and pedestrians at various road junctions within the North Farnborough area. Local Liberal Democrats have asked Hampshire County Council to undertake an investigation to develop improvements.

In Grange many residents have reported 'near misses' at the junction of Ship Lane and Newton Road. A Lib Dem survey of the area by Cllr Hazel Manning and Philip Thompson showed residents were very concerned about traffic speed and bad parking in the area.

In Fernhill, there is a need to review the complex arrangement at the three-way junction of Fernhill Road, Sandy Lane and Chapel Lane. There is no formal pedestrian crossing and it can be very difficult for local residents and children trying to get to the local shops.

In Mayfield, Charlie is asking whether a 20mph zone is needed on the Prospect estate to remind all drivers to keep to a safe speed in our area.
